Alongside producer Roger Williams, I'm delighted to have been awarded a place on Filmonomics 2016, a feature-film development/mentoring scheme run by Bird's Eye View/BFI/Creative Skillset.

Over the next six months, Roger and I will be developing my project, INVASION, a coming-of-age story based on family experience, set in WW2 Llandudno...

My new feature project, Alter Ego, has been selected by French screenwriters' association, Maison des Scénaristes, for pitching at author-producer meetings at the International Screenwriters' Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival, 2015.

My episode of Heartbeat, 'Duty of Care' (Series 14: episode 22) screens again on ITV3 at 13.00 & 17.50 on Friday, 29 January 2016 and will be available to view on ITV Hub for 30 days thereafter.  

Guest stars are John McArdle, Kathy Jamieson (McArdle), Peter Amory (Emmerdale's Chris Tate), and Joanna David.

Old Faces, New Beginnings...

Welcome to my writing blog.  I started my career in TV drama many moons ago, as a development executive at independent Zenith Productions, where I script-edited Hamish Macbeth (series 2 & 3), among other shows.

In the 2000s, I branched out as a scriptwriter on long-running series such as EastEnders, Casualty, and Heartbeat.  The last few years have been consumed by family responsibility (as I have discussed on my other blog, Dementia Just Ain't Sexy); but after that unintentional break, I'm returning to the fray!
